“VETO” social-political movement's open letter to "Jai Jagat 2020" organizers

Hello, dear organizers of "Jai Jagat 2020"!

We welcome the idea of organizing a campaign under the title "On the move for Justice and Peace". Emphasizing Mahatma Gandhi's allocution against violence which is one of the priorities of your project, we would like to remark that you have chosen wrong partners in Armenia.

Thus making the whole march frivolous and ridiculous.

On March 4, 2019, your official representative in Armenia, the leader of "Restart" Initiative and 5 other members attacked writer-publicist, public figure Narek Malyan with the aim of abduction. Right next to you, the members of "Restart" group, in the name of "no violence", are accused of having organized an apparent attempted abduction conspired by a group of individuals through the use of force by the RA Criminal Code. This is considered a grave crime involving violence not only in our country but also around the world. Furthermore, during various interviews they have repeatedly confirmed and boasted about the violence they committed.

"Restart" Initiative is known as a criminal hooligan group in the Republic of Armenia.

For their actions they face a prison sentence of up to eight years. It is surprising and ridiculous that you included a group spreading violence and hatred in your march from Delhi to Geneva.

We would like to inform you that we will also send this letter to the international media and to your partner organizations.

Please, find attached the video of the violence committed by “Restart”, which is included in the criminal case.
